Foster Homes

ARCF can always use good foster homes. Animals are typically fostered for anywhere between a couple of weeks to several months but may stay longer, depending on the amount of care the animal needs and how long it takes to find an appropriate home. Qualified cat homes should be set up to accommodate indoor-only care. Some animals will just need a place to stay while they are waiting for a home, others may be recovering from health issues. We will not foster animals with you that are inappropriate to your living situation.

We also have occasional need for “emergency” homes for cats or dogs in transition. An emergency home will have the animal for approximately two weeks.

Transportation

We sometimes need people to transport animals, materials, and medicines, etc. Often, but not always, these trips can be planned ahead. You will need a car.

Data Entry

We often have data that needs to be added to our donor, adopter, and volunteer database.
